THE WHOLE THING IN THREE LINES
We only have the data you type in. We never sell it, never run ads against it, and you can export or delete all of it anytime. Claritips shows patterns, not medical advice.
Privacy policy
Who we are
Claritips is operated by Simov Studio (the “operator”, “we”). We are the data controller for the personal data described on this page. For anything privacy-related, write to hello@claritips.com - a human answers.
What we collect on this website
If you request the 14-Day Pattern Finder kit, we store: your email address, the page you requested it from, the date and time, your country (derived from the network by our hosting provider), the version of the consent text you saw next to the form, and a one-way salted hash of your IP address used only to rate-limit the form - the IP address itself is never stored. That is the complete record. The free tools (calculators and quizzes) save your inputs in your own browser’s localStorage so they remember your settings; those inputs never leave your device. This site sets no cookies at all.
How we count visits
We run no third-party analytics and no advertising or tracking scripts of any kind. To know which guides are worth writing, our own server counts pageviews: the page path, the referring site’s domain (never the full URL), your country, and whether the device is a phone, tablet or desktop. To estimate how many people that is rather than how many clicks, we store a truncated one-way hash of a daily-rotating salt plus your IP address and browser user agent. The salt changes every day, so the same person on two days produces two unrelated values: the data cannot follow anyone across days, and there is nothing in it to reverse. No cookies, no browser storage, no script on the page. These counts are deleted after 90 days.
What the app collects
The Claritips app (a web app at app.claritips.com) stores your account email, your name if you give one, a securely hashed password (PBKDF2-SHA256, salted per account - we never see or store the password itself), your settings, and the check-ins you enter: sleep, habits, ratings and notes. Only what you type in: no contacts, no location, no reading other apps or health platforms. The app sets one strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in - it holds a random session token, carries no personal data, and is not used for tracking or advertising, which is why there is no cookie banner to click through. Your check-ins are also kept in your own browser so the app keeps working offline.
What we do with it
We use your email to send you the kit you asked for, and - because the form says so - an occasional short pattern guide, rarely, each with a working one-click unsubscribe. App data is used to compute your averages and comparisons, on your account, for you. Legal bases under the GDPR: consent (the kit form and any future guides; withdraw anytime by unsubscribing) and legitimate interest (rate-limiting and abuse prevention).
What we never do
No selling data. No advertising. No sharing with data brokers. No training AI models on your entries - there is no AI in the product to train.
Where it lives, and who processes it
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. It is stored and processed by a short list of infrastructure processors bound by data-processing agreements: Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting, storage and delivery; data may be processed in the EU and the US under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses) and - once email delivery goes live - Brevo (Sendinblue GmbH; transactional email, processed in the EU). We will keep this list current on this page.
How long we keep it
The kit-request record is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Visit counts are deleted after 90 days. App data is kept while your account exists: export everything as CSV anytime, free plan included, and delete your account and all of its data from Settings with one action - gone from production immediately, from backups within 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete, or hand over (in a portable format) any personal data we hold about you, object to a use of it, or withdraw consent - email hello@claritips.com and we will act within 30 days, and never make deletion harder than signing up was. If you are in the EU/EEA or UK you also have the right to complain to your data-protection authority.
Children
Claritips is not directed at children and requires users to be 16 or older. If you believe a child has given us personal data, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we will say so plainly on this page - and, once accounts exist, email you ahead of time. The effective date above always tells you when it last changed.
